Hi! I’m Pooja Nimavat Mehta — a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, born, raised in India and now based in Chicago. My art is inspired by the warmth, energy, and spirituality of South Asian vibes with a contemporary global touch. I was fairly good at art since childhood, and creativity is a legacy passed down from my father, who is also an artist and my most honest critic.
Many years spent in the corporate world left me restless, searching for deeper meaning and some years being away from my native made it clearer : Art is my journey reconnecting to my roots and to who I truly am and I started creating again! That’s how Cadira Art & Design was born. Cadira—a Sanskrit word for elephant—close to my heart, symbolizes wisdom, strength, spirituality, resilience and it felt like an inner guide for this creative path.
Living in an ADHD mind inspires me to experiment freely with techniques, mediums, and ideas. Currently my focus is on acrylic painting, laser engraving, murals, and digital patterns—while trying not to dive into too many projects at once!
My work blends intention with emotion—each piece a reflection of some nostalgia, joy, escape and connection! I hope my art invites you to see a piece of your own story within it. Let’s create that quiet, unspoken connection together!

Pooja creates custom acrylic artwork, engraved pieces designed to enrich both space and story from private commissions to collaborations with event planners and small businesses.
